This toy encourages sensory exploration, visual exploration and attention. The blocks are interesting and peek-a-boo windows encourage a young child to stay with the activity by allowing an opportunity for further exploring. They are soft and infants and young toddlers will love to explore them with their hands and their mouths.
Stacking and playing with blocks has been shown to encourage cognitive, language, math and early reading skills. These are a must for any Speech Language Pathologist working in early intervention. These blocks in particular are excellent for sensory exploration. Should you have a child that is sensitive to sound or certain textures of material, these toys could be use to desensitize the child and encourage sensory exploration. *consult your pediatrician if you notice your infant/child has strong adversions to certain sounds, tastes, textures, etc.
Sixteen soft building blocks with lots of peek-a-boo windows! Eight colored blocks plus eight black and white blocks. Some blocks rattle and others create a crinkle sound as they are squeezed. Surface washable. Age: from newborn to 36 months.
